Milk allergy (allergy to milk), as the name suggests is caused by milk and other dairy products that lead to the abnormal over-reactions from the immune system which doesn't allow the body to drink milk Milk allergy occurs when the immune system finds any of the ingredient of milk also known as the milk protein, quite harmful and responds with antibodies which further release 'histamines' and these histamines cause exaggerated reactions within the body.

Although milk proteins are harmless yet the immune system mistakenly responds inappropriate reaction from milk and there are mainly two components namely 'whey' and 'casein' that are present in milk and are responsible for this reaction. 'Whey' is that watery portion that is left after the curd is removed and 'casein' is formed in the sour curd, and both these act as allergens for the immunity of the body.
